Wii Fit Plus – Even More!
Just one more post on the new Wii Fit Plus. It has become such a favorite of mine I just HAVE to tell people about it!
In my last post, I was explaining the new My Wii Fit Plus area of the program. I will now cover the remaining menus in the My Wii Fit Plus area.
We have covered the Wii Fit Plus Routines and My Routines (both are GREAT additions to the program!). So, to move on to the remaining menus:
The Favorites area shows your top 10 activities in the Frequently menu, the 10 you recently did are in the Recently menu, and the Rarely menu show the 10 you do the least often.
The Calorie Check/METs area is a new area that is pretty cool. Here you can see how the calories you burn equal certain food – like a chocolate bar, glass of orange juice, fried chicken, etc. METs are the Wii Fits way of determining the intensity of an activity. Every activity you do will have a MET rating and the estimated number of calories you will burn while doing the activity.
You can also set calorie burn goals – this is pretty funny I think. You set your goal by FOOD! So, maybe you want to burn off a candy bar or if you don’t have a lot of time, how about a cup of jello! It helps you visualize how much exercise it takes to burn off the food you eat – so this could be a good thing!
Fit Credits – this was present in the last Wii Fit, but here you can also see how many calories you burned. I like the activity log because it shows you a graph of your workout. Each type of activity is color coded so you get a picture of how much time was spent on strength, aerobic, balance, etc. This is a good way to help you balance your workout.
The last menu is Change Trainer, you go to this menu if you are ready for a change and you need to get a new trainer.
FINAL OPINION: I REALLY like the new Wii Fit Plus! I was a big fan of the old one, but it did have it’s drawbacks. Now that you have exercise routines, I believe the workouts will be more effective. So, I am giving the Wii Fit Plus a GREAT review!
