Wii Fit Plus – there’s more!
So, more on my review of the Wii Fit Plus. I talked about a few of the new additions that the Wii Fit Plus has. My favorite part of the new Wii Fit Plus is the new ‘My Wii Fit Plus’ area. This is where you can customize workouts to fit your own needs.
The ‘My Wii Fit Plus’ area is designed to look like a locker room, which I think is a fun way to show it. Here you have the option to pick Wii Fit Plus Routines that are already put together (I cover them a bit here), My Routine – which you customize yourself, Favorites, Calorie Check/METS, Fit Credits, & Change Trainer.
Since I already covered Wii Fit Plus Routines, I will talk about the other options.
One of the drawbacks to the original Wii Fit program is the delay between exercises. If you wanted to do Yoga or Strength training, you had to wait for the trainer to critique and the game to score before you could move on to another exercise. With the My Routines option, you can arrange a seamless routine of yoga or strength. I choose yoga and I was able to put the yoga poses in the order I wanted and repeat them as well. So, I added three poses – half moon, warrior, & tree, and then I repeated them again. I then moved on to three more poses and put them in twice as well. I continued to add poses until I had built a 30 minute routine.
The yoga workout moved smoothly from pose to pose, like a regular workout with no long pauses in between. It provided a good workout that I still felt two days later. Love, love LOVE this new feature! This is the main reason I bought the Wii Fit Plus – now I will feel I am really getting a workout!
I will cover the rest of the My Wii Fit Plus area in my next post. I am still very happy with the Wii Fit Plus! This was $20 well spent and this consumer is giving it a great review!
