So You Want an Electric Juicer?
I love juice, it is good and good for you. But, have you looked at the ingredients in most of the juice you buy at the store? It is full of preservatives, sugar, etc., and here is the kicker – there is VERY LITTLE REAL JUICE!!! That’s right, it is hard to find 100% juice and when you do it costs an arm and a leg. So I decided it was time to invest in an electric juicer.
But, where do I start to find the perfect home juicer? There are so many on the market and I don’t really know a lot about juicers. But I want one, I think it would be very good for my family and the environment (no plastic juice bottles plugging up the landfills!).
So I started to research the internet to find the perfect electric juicer – wow, there is a lot of information! There are so many different types of juicers – citrus juicers, masticating juicers, vegetable juicers, etc., the list goes on and on. Plus, every juicer has its pros and cons. How to decide?
I found a great website that tells all about several different types of juicers. It is www.juicemaker.org. This site has reviews and product links for the following juicers: the Jack Lalanne Juicer, the Juiceman Juicer, Stainless Steel Juicers, and Commercial Juice Extractors.
This site was very informative and helped me know what was what when it comes to juicers. For instance, I did bot realize that a citrus juicer is just that – only for citrus. I know, I know – it seems obvious, but I thought a juice was a juicer! A masticating juicer actually grinds or presses the produce so it uses as much of the fruit or vegetable as possible leaving less waste. Other electric juicers use centrifugal force to ’spin’ the juice out of the produce. This leaves more waste. It all depends on the type of juice you are trying to make.
There is a juicer out there for everyone. You just need to figure out exactly what type of juice you want and what you are looking for in a juicer. Then you can find the perfect electric juicer for you! Check out www.juicemaker.org for more information.
