Star Wars references will never die, and this commercial from the 2010 Super Bowl is a great example of that fact. Cute little Darth Vader is trying to use the force on everything in his house with no luck. That is until dad comes home with a new Volkswagon (and the clicker!)
What is it with Geico? Seriously, their ads rarely have anything at all to do with insurance, yet they are so memorable! The Geico Woodchuck commercial is pretty hilarious – although in my book the Piggy one is the best. After all the times I have seen it I still laugh! But the Woodchuck Geico ad is a pretty close second. It is funny because that whole saying – ‘How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood’, is pretty silly itself. Then you add the visual of woodchucks actually chucking wood. And then the old farmer dude – too funny!
Purse party – have you been to one? Well, have you noticed all the cute purses – they are everywhere! Fun purses are popping up in all types of stores from chic boutiques to flea markets. But it seems the best place to find a cute purse is at a purse party. So I am the original skeptic. Something new comes along, I wonder if it is worth all the hype. I am sure you know what I mean, someone brags up a product and you just don’t believe them – that is until you try it for yourself. Well, I was that way with essential oils. People I work with were telling me how great they are and how they can cure anything from a headache to chronic fatigue. Sure, I love the smell of them and yes, I did feel energized when I was around the citrus oils. But healing? With an oil?
Fisher-Price has issued a recall on more than 10 million toys and childrens products because of safety concerns. Some of the products have parts that stick out and can cause injury if a child falls on it. Other products have small parts that can come loose and cause a choking hazard. Fisher-Price has issued a recall and is offering repairs or replacements for the affected products. You can find a complete list of the recalled items on the CPSC website.
You know, with the invention of TiVo people usually fast forward through the commercials. Why watch a boring ad when you are watching an good television show, right? Well the people at Geico have figured that out so they are making commercials that are absolutely hilarious! They are so fun to watch and talk about with your coworkers the next day. I honestly don’t know what I did before I discovered Febreeze. Have you tried it yet? It is amazing! It used to be when my clothes smelled a little musty from hanging in the closet for too long without seeing the light of day, I would completely rewash them whether they needed it or not. Blogging is really picking up steam. People blog to keep up with their faraway family and friends. They us it as a creative outlet or an online diary. But one of my favorite groups of bloggers are Moms! I have found some great mommy blogs out there, made by some very creative mothers! These smart mom’s have found a way to help earn a few extra bucks while they stay at home raising their kids. Funny, back in the day when I was crafty to earn money, I had to travel to craft fairs far and wide and set up a booth, etc. Blogging to sell your crafts is SO much easier!!!
